2026: May

In May 2026, the Technical University – Sofia has the honor of hosting the most prestigious national academic competition in the field of higher mathematics.

National Student Olympiad in Mathematics (NSOM) 2026

  • Host: Technical University – Sofia

  • Dates: May 15–17, 2026

Eligibility

Any student enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program at any accredited higher education institution in the Republic of Bulgaria may participate in the Olympiad (NSOM).

Competition Groups

Students are divided into three competition groups according to the professional field of their specialty:

  • Group A: Mathematics, Informatics, and Computer Sciences

  • Group B: Natural and Technical Sciences, Security, and Defense

  • Group C: All specialties not included in Groups A and B
